Binding has remained firm. Pencil marks to front pastedown. Boards have slight shelf wear with bumping to corners. Spine ends are a little crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Slight forward lean to text block.

First Edition. THE BLASTED ACRE, Stanley Smith, 1936, first edition, inch tear at lower section of front hinge, else vg in inner reinforced dust-wrapper missing about half the dust-wrapper spine. Most uncommon in dust-wrapper.

Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper: "For Daddy and Mother, Who probably knew what they meant when they made Alec. Geoffrey Ellinger 2-5-34." VERY GOOD. Shows the extremities shelf rubbed, text-block edges lightly foxed, otherwise the binding remains strong and tight, the text clean and unmarked, and the boards bright and distinct. As pictured.
