In good plus green cloth boards with image in green and gilt of bird and gilt titles to front and also to spine and to rear board; the spine has a number referring to when a library book. The boards are…a little wobbly from cracked joint, flat and quite clean; spine ends and corners bumped and frayed. Tanned free end papers; faded library stamp and number sticker to front paste down. Gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are age-toned. The text block is quite tight, straight and not tanned or foxed, very good condition and excellent for age. With lovely b/w illustrations by A. T. Elwes. No dedications etc. One more faded library stamp on a Prelim. Without jacket. Sound copy for age. A. T. Elwes. (illustrator).
