A larger collection of the tales (800+ pages) with 200 illustrations from Victorian editions, mostly those of artist-engraver Thomas Dalziel. Add to basketCondition: Good. Handsomely bound in threequarter coral paper boards with blue stars and cloth spines. Gilt lettering to spines. 4to. Edges are bumped and cloth is lightly sunned. Pages are age tanned with slight foxing. Gilt page edges. Bindings are tight. Numerous engravings by various artists including J. E. Millais, John Tenniel, Thomas Dalziel and A. B. Houghton. Previous owner's pencilled signature to front endpaper dated 1931. A very attractive edition. Please enquire about postage as these books are heavy.
