Ya de pequeña se rebeló contra una pedagogía basada en los viejos valores de una socied…ad encorsetada de posguerra y esta situación señaló el rumbo de su vida. Su juventud estuvo marcada por un comprometido activismo estudiantil. Y su lucha por la memoria histórica y los derechos humanos la llevó a conocer las realidades de las dictaduras portuguesa y española, así como a las personas que, como ella, querían contribuir en la construcción de una sociedad más justa. Su vida junto a Luis Andrés Edo constituye la segunda parte de esta biografía, histórico militante del movimiento anarcosindicalista español de la CNT, compartió su vida y sus experiencias junto a Doris, sin olvidar nunca sus principios y su lucha política. «No soy una de aquellas mujeres heroicas que se entregaron con tenacidad a la lucha contra la tiranía y a favor de una sociedad más justa y más humana y que en esa lucha arriesgaron su vida, tampoco soy una de aquellas mujeres que entraron en la historia por su vida y obra. Sin embargo, el ejemplo de tantas mujeres valientes me inspiró a contribuir algo, a mi manera modesta, en la lucha por un mundo mejor. Lo especial de mi vida es que un día me encontré a un hombre cuyo nombre era conocido entonces por su lucha activa contra el régimen de Franco, no solo en la propia España, sino también fuera de ella. Me enamoré finalmente de este hombre y tuve la inconmensurable suerte de poder vivir durante treinta años al lado de Luis Andrés Edo». Doris Ensinger nació en 1944 en Alemania, cerca de Magdeburgo, donde pasó los primeros años de su vida. En 1948, la familia huye de la zona ocupada por los soviéticos al sur del país. Allí se desarrollará su formación escolar. A partir de 1964 estudia traducción en la Universidad de Saarbrücken y es allí donde vive la revuelta estudiantil que la acerca a las ideas libertarias. En los años setenta participa activamente en el movimiento alternativo de Múnich. En 1977 conoce en Barcelona al conocido militante de la cnt Luis Andrés Edo. Convivirá con él hasta su muerte en 2009 compartiendo muchas de sus actividades en el movimiento anarquista-libertario. De 1981 hasta 2010, su vida profesional se desarrollará en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona en la Facultad de Traducción donde enseña traducción y civilización y cultura. El presente libro ha sido publicado en Alemania, por la editorial barrikade bajo el título Quer denken, gerade leben - Erinnerungen an mein Leben mit Luis Andrés Edo. Referencia: 24956.
