He returned to England only to come back to Canada from 1782 - 1787 where he describes the Lake Ontario region and also traveled to the southern colonies where he spent a day with George Washington at Mount Vernon. Original publisher's blue cloth covers with gilt spine lettering. There is a previous owner's blind stamp on the front end paper with two dates above and below it, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no other interior or exterior markings and no bookplates.
