First Edition. First edition, 8vo, pp. [5], 347, [1] page advertising the publication of the book itself; lithograph frontispiece of the Isle of Mitylene; original green cloth stamped in gilt and black; very good with front hinge starting, slightly askew and a small tear to the gutter of the title page. Inscribed by the author on the front free leaf ("Mr. & Mrs. H.D. Birssell, with the sincere love of the authors" Jan 1st 1879). Wright III, 725.
