He also adopted homeopathy, and included among his patients Charlotte and Emily Bronte. This, is his fourth book, which is quite scarce. This is the first edition with notes by the poet and Unitarian minister, John Pierpont. In fact, with the publication of Phrenology and the Scriptures (1850), Pierpont himself became known as an expert on phrenology and spiritualism.
