Für seine verlegerischen und unternehmerischen Leistungen ist er mit zahlreichen Preisen geehrt worden, darunter der "Europäische Print Medien Preis". Im Jahr 2000 verlieh der Ministerpräsident des Landes Baden-Württemberg ihm den Titel Professor.
