Der dekorative Einband mit Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, minimal fleckig, etwas berieben, am unteren Kapital mit kleiner Fehlstelle, die Ecken leicht bestoßen, Schließen und Schließbänder fehlend. Zeitgenössischer, handschriftlicher Rückentitel, drei alte, verblichene (für den Bearbeiter) unleserliche Bibliotheksschilder, sowie Bibliotheksnummern. Roter Klebezettel "34". Die beiden signierten Mittelplatten, recto eine Kreuzigung mit den Initialen "C N", sowie einer "ehernen Schlange" und dem Motto "SICUT MOSES EXALTAVIT SER[pentem]" (= Und wie Mose die [eherne] Schlange [in der Wüste] erhöht hat .), verso eine Auferstehung Christi mit zwei Wappen, den Initialen "C N(?)", sowie dem Motto "ERO MORS TVA O MORS" (= O Tod, ich werde dein Tod sein). Beide wohl unbeschrieben, zumindest nicht in der Einbanddatenbank, wie wohl auch die auf beiden Deckeln verwendete, in der Darstellung mit einer Kreuzigung (Text: ECCE AGNVS DEI CVI = Sieh das Lamm Gottes, das .) auf 1558 datierte breitere Rolle. Die schmalere, neben den Platten auf beide Deckeln geprägte zeigt in der markantesten Einzeldarstellung Christus an einer "(Marter-, Geißel- oder Schand-Säule". Der beigebundene Titel teilweise mit ausführlichen, etwas späteren handschriftlichen Anmerkungen. Der hintere Innendeckel mit Sägeschnitt durch den Papierbezug und den Holzdeckel, man suchte wohl als Makulatur verwendetes Manuskriptmaterial. Es wurde solches, das als Vor- bzw. Nachsatz diente, entfernt; davon sind jeweils nur noch zwei sehr schmale Pergamentstreifen mit alten, handgeschriebenen Buchstabenfragmenten vorhanden. Das fehlende Titelblatt und die Darstellung des Fürsten auf seiner Rückseite liegt jeweils als Ausdruck nach dem Digitalisat der BSB lose bei. Auf dem vorderen Innendeckel ein handschriftliches Inhaltsverzeichnis. "1. Predigten / 2. Genealogie und Chronica der Fürsten von Anhalt." sowie eim ebenfalls handschriftlicher Besitzvermerk: "M.[agister] Joachimus Löper P. W. [Pyritz Wierzbno]". Die beiden zusammen eingebundenen Bücher haben als gemeinsames Thema das Haus Anhalt, insbesonders Fürst Georg III. und dessen Freundschaft mit Philipp Melanchthon, der beide Vorworte verfaßte.
