Softcover. Condition: vg. Quarto. Complete set of eight Third Reich stamps issued to commemorate the Berlin Olympic Games of 1936. The stamps, designed by Max Eschle, are mounted onto an official collection sheet (size 11 1/2" x 8 1/4") and are cancelled with a special postmark featuring the Olympic bell and two swastikas. On upper margin of the commemorative sheet are depicted the five Olympic Rings and at lower margin are featured a Nazi Eagle with Swastica, and the original price of 2 Reichs Marks in the right corner. Commemorative sheet and stamps in very good condition.

Softcover. Condition: vg. Complete set of 8 Olympic stamps on three letters addressed to Herbert Kroker, General-Agentur, in Hagen (Germany). Stamps designed by Max Eschle. The envelopes were cancelled on August 1, 1936 with special postmarks featuring the Olympic bell and two swastikas. Postmarks from the Berlin Deutschland Halle, Berlin Olympia Stadion, Berlin Olympialager Heerstrasse, Berlin Olympia Schwimmstadion, Berlin Int. Sportstudenten Lager, Berlin Olympia-Stadion (Presse), Berlin Olympia Reiterplatz, and the Berlin - Grünau Regatta Bahn. Included with this lot is a registered lettered stamped with two Olympic stamps and cancelled on August 14, 1936 with two special postmarks from the Olympic Village (Berlin Olympisches Dorf.) Each envelope measures appr. 5" x 6". Minor age-toning along edges (not affecting stamps). Envelopes in overall good+ to very good condition.
