About the book >.>.> Die andere Sicht: Sammlerin und Künstlerin is a collaborative work featuring contributions from Agnes Essl, Barbara Sziits, Astrid Bechtold, and Anna Meyer, with the curation of Barbara Vogel. This book commemorates over 40 years of advocating for the representation of women artists, particularly through the lens of a landmark exhibition held in 2014, entitled Die andere Sicht. The exhibition explores the unique perspectives of female visual artists, questioning their existence and representation in the contemporary art world. The narrative delves into two primary aspects of women's perspectives on art: the viewpoint of the collector and the varied perceptions women have on life and their artistic expressions. It also emphasises the importance of women's contributions to the art world, reflecting a broader respect for the relationship between collectors and artists. Thus, Die andere Sicht serves as both a celebration of women?s contributions to art and as a critical engagement with the evolving dialogues surrounding gender in the art world.…
