    First Edition - Primera edición. Madrid, Nicolás de Xamares, 1676 [al fin: Alcalá de Henares, Nicolás de Xamares, 1675]. En 4º (200 x 148)mm. (18), 406, (2) pp. Portada dentro de orla tipográfica. Encuadernación en piel de finales del siglo diecinueve. Primera edición, segunda emisión, de este estimado libro de poesías escritas por el peruano Jacinto de Evia. Dice Palau "El autor de estas poesías nació en Guayaquil (Perú), cuya circunstancia ha dado valor comercial a este libro, que siempre ha sido buscado por los americanistas". En las páginas 235-247 se registran varias composiciones poéticas de Hernando Domínguez Camargo, amigo de Evia y autor del poema heroico de San Ignacio de Loyola. El libro contiene además algunas poesías de su maestro Bastidas y de un jesuita innominado; en total son 180 las composiciones de este ramillete. Hay dos emisiones exactamente iguales, excepto la fecha que se indica en la portada. Ambas llevan al fin una hoja de colofón fechado en 1676. Jacinto de Evia nació en Guayaquil, descendiente de los conquistadores y pobladores de la cuenca del Guayas. Se graduó en la Universidad de San Gregorio y en 1662 fue designado en Guayaquil patrono de ciertas capellanías. Se tiene noticia de que a la edad de 70 años se encontraba en Madrid cuidando la edición del libro. Desde un punto de vista literario, "Emilio Carilla, en El Gongorismo en América, ha opinado que Evia fue el menos gongorista de los poetas del Ramillete, por su numen más bien Calderoniano y en consecuencia lo cataloga mas conceptista que sus compañeros. Hernán Rodríguez Castelo ha agregado que tuvo predilección por el verso menor y cuando dio de mano a todo lo engolado que tan mal iba con las unidades menores, se desnudó de artificios y logró estrofas bellas.
