German language commemorative book celebrating the company and its growth, development and range of products and activities over 125 years up to 1935. 351pp with two fold outs at the end . One features the works and the other is a colour illustration of the first streamline express steam train. Profusely illustrated throughout with black and white photographs, some may be photogravure, plus some spot colour and three colour paintings. Overall the book is in very good clean condition. Very minor wear to the corners of the boards, very slight sunlight fading to the spine. Two previous owner's have left their mark on the book. The first flyleaf bears the pencil signature of the late engineer A.C. Smith who acquired the book on 29th September 1950. I bought the book from him in 1993 and sold it on to someone else who has applied a small name and address label and reference number in the bottom left hand corner of the other side of the flyleaf. There is an earlier mark on the bottom right hand corner of the flyleaf where another label has been removed. The tissue paper covering the frontispiece has suffered some damage in the top corner and its disintegration has left a faint brown foxing type stain. See the scans. These are the only faults, the rest of the book is very good clean condition.
