L'autore sceglie di riprendere la scena all'uscita della seconda galleria, la più lunga, lasciando intravedere in seconda piano la prima. Il primo piano è animato dalla presenza sulla destra di due lavoratori, intenti nei quotidiani lavori di manutenzione…della strada, mentre a poco distanza giungono due persone a cavallo. Tra queste si riconosce un gentiluomo nell'atto di mostrare alla gentildonna con l'ombrellino parasole, che gli cavalca a fianco, le bellezze del lago. Ottimo lo stato di conservazione generale.
