Four Maud Humphrey color ills of brides in wedding gowns and four lovely color plates of roses, orchids, etc by Paul Longpre + 30b&w ills. This is a full leather binding with the initials of bride and groom and wedding date of A…pril 9, 1907 gold stamped on front cover. Mounted in front are professional portraits of thebride, Elizabeth Boyd and groom, Elmer Ellsworth Rodenbaugh. They are apparently from prominent Philadelphia families as they received 127 (!) wedding gifts--gift and gift givers all named. And oh yes, 12 engagement gifts as well. Mounted or laid in are the ledding invitation, lists of guests, photos of the decorated premesis at which the wedding was held (looks like a private home), a mounted pressed orchid from the ceremony, a heart-shaped swatch of fabric from the wessing gown, 14 other swatches probably from the gowns of bridesmaids and others, and place setting-type namecards which are color illustrations mounted on thin slices of wood. There is also a description of their wedding journey from Phila to NY where they stayed at the Holland hOuse and strolled on Fifth Ave and went for a ride in Central Park.Leather cover is scuffed w chips off spine ends.ll page edges gilt and internally VG.
