Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. "Simplified Standard Anthems," 1956, consists mostly of hymns, "made practical for volunteer choirs. . . . The range has been reduced (F is the high note) . . . some numbers have been abridged, the demands on the soloist have been lessened." (Large octavo of 96 pp.) "The Three-Part Treble Choir" is a 64-page softcover large octavo, copyright 1935, might be a later printing (not stated), but no later than 1962. Sticker to title page has amended the price to $1.50; rubber-stamp of the Hunleth Music Co., St. Louis, has also been added. The stiff brown wraps of our third booklet, "Sacred Quartets" (32 pp., 1909) have been secured to the text block with what appears to be "Scotch Magic" clear plastic tape, grade this one "good." Three songbooks of similar size, combined into a lot to consolidate shipping charge, the group bow reduced from $30.

The music is easy, tuneful, pure and the texts are wholly undenominational in character so couldl be found suitable for all creeds beliieving in Jesus Christ as the Savior of mankind. The music in this collection shou;d be very usable because the hard to sing high notes have been studiously avoided. Second book in series. Interior is tight, clean and, except for POS on ffep & pencil notes on end-pages, unmarked. Hardcover has BROWN CLOTH boards with black lettering/designs, but no DJ. All page-ends are red tinted. Carefully used and stored. Copyrights are individual to each song. Usually stated as copyrighted 1909 for this collection. 149 songs, indexed with preface. 4 voice; 1st & 2nd soprano and 1st & 2nd alto. No edition nor printing info found. No LCCN nor ISBN.
