Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Two Romanian Hebrew learners for children, WW2 version, ill, xiii+ 114pps, 134pps-- alphabet, how to write the characters shown, rare. Softcovers rebound into hardcover format, VG. Marginal pencil marks. The Wehrmacht invaded the country in October1940. These books were published in 1941 and 1942 and may well have been the last Hebrew books published in Bucharest during the occupation as all Jewish artifacts were destroyed. Thus both are quite rare and may well have a frightening story to tell us. Black covers with no spine titles.
