Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Number 62 of an edition of 220 copies, presented as a keepsake in honor of Mrs. Margaret Bridwell Bowdle and the directors of the Bridwell Foundation. Elephant folio, 42 x 29cm, [22] pp., printed recto only, save for donors and colophon pages at rear. Conjugate leaf, 4 pages, from the book of Psalmes, XXV. Red printed wrappers with watermarks from the original bible, housed in marbled paper slipcase. Laid in are the printed dedication program sheet and compliments of Bridwell library card. Near fine with some rubbing to edges of case. Elephant Folio - over 15 - 23" tall.

Pbk, folio in marbled-paper covered slipcase, edition limited to 220 copies of which this is number 81 presented on the occasion of the dedication of the Bridwell Library Annex, November 27, 1973, the leaves are from the Book of Psalms, slight rubbing to the extremities of the slipcase but it has done its protective work and the book is exceptionally fine, clean, and appears unopened, encased in deck-edge ruby paper with the watermark from the original Bible paper reproduced on the front cover, a scarce commemorative with beautifully-presented original leaves.
