Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1st Italian edition; text in Italian. Inscribed & signed on the half-title page by the translator Ugo Farfara. Professor Otto Nordenskjold let the Swedish Antarctic Expedition to the South Pole in 1901-1903. This volume has apparently been rebound in a rather unattractive black leather binding with a photo mounted on the front cover. Illustrated with B&W photos and maps. Condition: binding is rubbed with minor scuffing and a small 1" tear to the top of the front outer hinge; both inner hinges are split and the book block is separated from the binding. Else, in good condition. 220 pages.
