Zu diesem Attentat bekannte sich die somalische Terrorgruppe Al-Shabaab. Die Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Attentat hat mich dazu bewegt, ein Essay von Ahmed Zaki Yamani zu veröffentlichen, das ich vor einigen Jahren, noch zu Lebzeiten des ehemaligen Ölministers des Königreichs Saudi Arabien übersetzt hatte. Ahmed Zaki Yamani ist vielen LeserInnen mit Sicherheit bekannt, weil er 1975 zu den Geiseln der OPEC-Geiselnahme in Wien gehörte. Wenige kennen aber sein Essay zum Thema der Frauenrechte im Islam, in dem er sich mit der politischen Kompetenz der Frauen im Rahmen des islamischen Rechts befasst. Sein Artikel mit dem Titel 'The Political Competence of Women in Islamic Law', den ich in diesem Büchlein in deutscher Übersetzung vorstellen möchte, ist aufgrund der aktuellen politischen und kriegerischen Auseinandersetzungen in der muslimischen Welt immer noch aktuell. Außerdem ist dieser Beitrag von Ahmed Zaki Yamani wegweisend, weil er nicht nur über die Rechte, sondern vor allem über die weiblichen Kompetenzen und Pflichten im Rahmen der islamischen Politik spricht. Denn Frauenrechte bedeuten vor allem Frauenpflichten und somit auch die Aneignung von Kompetenzen durch die muslimischen Frauen, um ihre Stimme in der islamischen Politik und Gesellschaft hörbar zu machen. Yamani spornt in diesem Essay die muslimischen Gesellschaften dazu an, Frauen in die islamische Politik einzubeziehen und weibliche Kompetenzen zu fördern, um den Fortschritt und die Entwicklung der islamischen Gesellschaft als Ganze zu ermöglichen.
