Interessante lavoro che condanna la Repubblica considerandola sorgente di assassini e non di guerrieri e analizza la fine del secolo evidenziato dalla 'Ragione' e dai 'Lumi' con continui riferimenti a Bayle, Voltaire, Mably, Locke, Rousseau, Hume, ed altri, con la speranza di un ritorno alla Religione e ad una morale forse perduta. Raro. Qualche normale fioritura della carta ma in ottime condizioni.
