Además el índice de láminas no coincide ni con su nombre, ni con su cantidad, ni con su posición, así como el índice de lugares, por lo que es muy probable que el impresor los reutilizaras a partir de una edición anterior. The illustrator responsible for the plates, William Tombleson, was celebrated in his day as a fine topographical and architectural artist, and originally produced these engravings in the 1830s.While most earlier editions attribute this work to William Gray Fearnside, in this one authorship is attributed to Henry Gray Fearnside.While this edition does not provide a publication date, it can be identified as c. 1850 via WorldCat.Former owner's inscription to the front pastedown, with the name 'D. L. Cumming'. In a quarter morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Fading to the front and rear boards, with some wear to extremities. Losses to the morocco section, with starting to the front and rear joint. Former owner's inscription to the front pastedown.
