Il testo latino inedito della "Deploratio" occupa 10 fitte pagine, con apparato critico. Importante per la storia della cultura nel Medioevo, perché rivela un ampio fermento culturale di cui Bernardo e Anselmo furono soltanto le punte emergenti che suppongono "un milieu lettré. et un public ciltivé".
