Couverture souple. Condition: Mauvais. Edition originale. Un volume 15 x 21,5 cm broché de 326 pages. Couverture en mauvais état, dos manquant, consolidé, plats déchirés sur les bords avec manques. Tenue correcte de la couture. Intérieur en bon état, papier jauni sans fragilité. A propos : Federico Amici (1828-1907) du s'exiler après sa participation à la guerre d'indépendance en Vénétie en 1848. Il se fixa en Egypte dans les années 1860 où il travailla pour l'administration égyptienne et devint proche du Khédive Tawfik Pacha (Tawfiq Pacha) qui lui accorda le titre de bey. Il monta le service de statistique égyptien et fut à l'origine du premier recensement en 1882. Cet ouvrage n'est pas une compilation et s'appuie sur la documentation exclusive qu'il a rassemblée à cette occasion. En l'état.
