The Altieri family, a Roman princely family who gave the Church a Sovereign Pontiff, Emilio Altieri, Pope with the name of Clement X. The family were present among the ranks of the minor municipal nobility of the city since the Middle Ages. Bound in full calf. Externally, sound with light rubbing to the extremities and small marks to the boards. Small cracks to the joints with the front hinge just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spotting. Light age toning to the extremities. Very Good. book.
