Mit 10 Abb. im Text. - Im populärem Stil gehaltetene biografische Schrift über die dänische Tanzfamilie. - Alexander Genee (1850 - 1938), Tänzer u. Ballettdirektor, verheiratet mit der Tänzerin Antonia [Antonie] Zimmermann (Lebensdaten?). 1886 adoptieren sie Adeline Genee (eigentl. Anna Jensen, 1878 - 1970), dänische Tänzerin u. Ballettpädagogin. Adeline wurde 1920 die erste Präsidentin der Association of Teachers of Operatic Dancing of Great Britain (später Royal Academy of Dance). Eine ihrer berühmtesten Tanzfiguren war Coppelia (ca. 1913) v. Leo Delibes. Vgl. Pask, Enter the Colonies Dancing, Melbourne 1979, S. 103ff. Etwas bestossen, Hinterdeckel gering randläsurig u. oben rechts mit schwacher Knickspur, Seiten gering gebräunt. Schönes, gutes Exemplar der seltenen Ausgabe.
