Ai ben 160 poveri, beninteso, un' "affettuosa allocuzione in dialetto piemontese", esortando alla fatico, costanza, rassegnazione, istruzione "se non propria, almeno della lor prole", per "rendersi degni di quella protezione . che loro prometteva" quno possibile come Sindaco e ma anche con "le sue qualità private". Il buon parroco Roggero 2diresse loro consolanti parole sopra il loro stato, .non essere invidiosi del bene altrui, rispettare la proprietà dei facoltosi, e a rassegnarsi ai decreti della Provvidenza" Ah beh. Peloso assistenzialismo. Introvabile.
