Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Stated to be the first of four volumes; however, based on OCLC listings, no other volumes were ever published. Ex-library. Flexible leather covers with gilt lettering on cover and spine. Moderate rubbing; chipping to head of spine; one inch closed tear on front joint; spine is cocked. A few page gutters are cracked, but binding is still fairly tight. Small chips and tears to edges of a some pages. Ex-library marks include: call number on spine, stamps on endpapers and a few other pages, and mark of removed pocket on front pastedown.Text block has speckled edges. Includes black-and-white portraits throughout. This book offers biographical sketches of over 180 prominent men in Colorado's history as well as a brief narrative history of the state.
