Front and back end pages, head, foot and fore edge bear some speckling and marks from aging. Cream pages free from marginalia. Red cloth stained, rubbed, and soiled with some wear at board corners; spine ends frayed with small cloth loss, spine's lettering dulled with handwritten ink shelf number at lower spine. Academy ink notation and black crayon mark on front pastedown; past owner's ink signature on front free endpaper; library pocket on rear pastedown; pencil underlining and margin notes on various pages throughout; bottom corners of pages 109-110 and 223-224 creased from past fold-ins; some scattered soiling and small stains. Only a fair copy. With uncommon bookseller sticker at front pastedown's bottom right corner "Alabama | Book Store | Tuscaloosa, Ala." along with large ink price stamp for "University Supply Store" on the opposing front free endpaper.
