Curiosamente, la traduzione del poeta "fascista" Marinetti, apparsa originariamente nel 1916 per i «Breviari intellettuali» dell'Istituto editoriale italiano, è stata ripubblicata nella «Collezione di poesia» Einaudi la celebre «bianca» nel 1987, per le cure del poeta "comunista" Franco Fortini. Il libro riproduce l'edizione dei «Breviari», pur avendo il curatore la bontà di rilevare che «la identità pressoché assoluta fra alcune versioni mallarmeane di Marinetti e quelle di Decio Cinti [pubblicati nel 1921 per Modernissima] autorizza persino l'ipotesi di una traduzione, per così dire, a "collaborazione ineguale"» (p. VII). In realtà nel commento fortiniano l'unica parola fuori posto è quel «alcune»: tutte le versioni mallarmeane di Marinetti del 1916 sono uguali a quelle di Cinti del 1921, probabilmente il vero autore della traduzione. in 8°, brossura bianca stampata in nero (grafica di Bruno Munari), pp. X 56 [6]. Più che buon esemplare, quasi ottimo (carte brunite; forma d'appartenenza al frontespizio), nell'emissione con copertina in cartoncino. Prima edizione della traduzione firmata da Marinetti; la versione è in realtà anche di Decio Cinti, fidato traduttore delle opere che Marinetti scriveva in francese, nonché suo segretario; lo prova l'edizione di «Versi e prose» uscita per Modernissima nel 1921, il cui traduttore è indicato come Decio Cinti, il cui testo è sostanzialmente identico a questo. Marinetti optò per la prosa, abolendo la suddivisione in versi che invece persiste nella traduzione di Cinti, e inserì alcune minime modifiche nel testo, scegliendo sinonimi (come ad esempio nella poesia «Il campanaro», qui a pagina 59, a pagina 35 nell'edizione Modernissima, ove si legge rispettivamente «Mentre la campana desta la sua voce chiara» e «Mentre la campana sveglia la sua voce chiara»). L'edizione è segnalata dagli studiosi come la più ampia versione in italiano da Mallarmé apparsa in Italia a quella data. -- Come la maggior parte dei «Breviari» dell'Istituto editoriale italiano di Notari, il libro ebbe due emissioni, con copertina di pelle e copertina cartonata, con la medesima grafica a sbalzo di Duilio Cambelotti. in 8°, brossura in cartoncino con titoli in marrone e grafica (di Cambellotti) impressa a sbalzo (piatto posteriore muto), pp. 171 [1] (la numerazione inizia da 13 dopo sole 6 pagine non numerate, apparentemente senza mancanze). Per di più, confrontando attentamente le due versioni, si scopre che si tratta assolutamente della stessa traduzione, in redazioni leggermente differenti: anzitutto Marinetti optò per la prosa, abolendo la suddivisione in versi delle poesie originali che invece persiste nella traduzione di Cinti, si riscontrano poi alcune minute differenze nel testo, con variazioni relative ad alcuni vocaboli, scelte sinonimiche, di punteggiatura eccetera. -- Di sicuro si è per lo meno di fronte a una traduzione collaborativa, a quattro mani, anche se il fatto che Cinti fosse il traduttore principale del Marinetti francese unito al fatto che l'ultima e più ampia edizione del 1921 esca proprio a suo nome fanno propendere per un'attribuzione diretta al solo Decio Cinti. Solida legatura parlante coeva in piena pelle scura, inconsueto medaglione policromo in nero e oro al centro di entrambi i piatti inquadrati da un doppio filetto impresso a secco con fleuron dorati agli angoli, nomi di entrambi gli Autori impressi in oro sul piatto anteriore (dorso abilmente consolidato). Iniziali figurate. Un leggerissimo segno di sporco al margine superiore bianco delle prime 2 o 3 pp. della 1° opera, peraltro esemplare in più che buono stato di conservazione generale nella sua affascinante legatura coeva. Bella riunione di due opere curate e commentate dal giurista parigino Charles du Moulin, latinizzato Molinaeus. La prima è del giurista milanese Filippo Decio, illustre civilista e canonista, che insegnò a Pisa e Siena, ebbe tra i suoi discepoli uomini di grandezza indiscussa come Leone X, Cesare Borgia e soprattutto Francesco Guicciardini. In Francia venne nominato Consigliere del Parlamento da Luigi XII e insegnò a Bourges e a Valencia. La seconda opera è del giureconsulto toscano Dino Rossoni (detto Dino del Mugello) che insegnò diritto civile e canonico a Pistoia, Bologna, Roma e forse Siena. Nel 1297, chiamato da Bonifacio VIII a Roma, risulta abbia compilato il titolo di De regulis iuris, ricavato in gran parte dal diritto romano. Tornato l'anno seguente a Bologna, vi morì poco dopo. Nelle sue opere mostra i primi segni di un critico distacco dalla metodologia della glossa accursiana.
