THIS BOOk IS BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED and VERY WEIGHY BECAUSE OF THE HIGH QUALITY PAPER STOCK USED TO GIVE THE BEST PRESENTATION OF Da VINCI'S MANY WORKS IN ART AND SCIENCE. Based on thousands of pages from Leonardo s astonishing notebooks and new discoveries about his life and work, Walter Isaacson weaves a narrative that connects his art to his science. He shows how Leonardo s genius was based on skills we can improve in ourselves, such as passionate curiosity, careful observation, and an imagination so playful that it flirted with fantasy. He produced the two most famous paintings in history, The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa. But in his own mind, he was just as much a man of science and technology.

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Pretty clean and tight, and in a gorgeous protected jacket. Okay it is a slightly chipped jacket but it has no serious losses. The book was printed on pulp paper so there is a brittle foxed quality to it but this is the best copy I've ever seen, especially with the superb artwork on the cover; this is greatly enhaced because it's got a fresh first print quality. A lone investigator hunts for his partner's killer, and in the best Chase style of prose this grips you and keeps you reading. Good straightforward sleuthing, in the Chandler vein.
