i-x, 1-347 pages plus five foldout plates at rear. Hardcover: H 24.5cm x L 15cm. Contemporary binding; strongly soiled tan paper spine with significant surface losses leaving quires exposed; spine's paper title label chipped with only fragments of lettering still present; blue paper boards soiled and stained with edges worn particularly at corners; front board and ffep detached from rest of book. Text block edges well toned; deckle fore-edges; many leaves still uncut at their top edges. Toning/foxing throughout with first half being strong but increasing to obtrusive text's second half; however the plates (all of which still follow their original folds) are comparatively clean with only mild-moderate foxing. Text block is still firm. Book now presented in a trimmed clear Dura-Lar (polyester film) sheet forming a dj which aids in securing the detached front board and modestly enhances shelf presence.
