An incredibly nice copy of this rare World War I unit history. This copy with a letter from the U.S. Department of War laid in. The letter (dated 1926) tells a Mr. Smith in Buffalo New York that "no official history of the regiment has been published", but refers Smith to Fiske's history, published in Cedar Rapids. A perfect copy without flaws, bound in a handsome black leather spine and decorated cover. Many fold-out plates of individual copmpanies.

Fiske was handling arrangements. This single sheet is in fair condition, with soiling, discoloration, and tears at the bottom edge. It fits nicely inside the front cover of the book. 350th INFANTRY REGIMENT, 88th INFANTRY DIVISION Constituted 5 August 1917 in the National Army as the 350th Infantry and assigned to the 88th Division. Organized 27 August 1917 at Camp Dodge, Iowa; demobilized 5-8 June 1919 at Camp Dodge. Reconstituted 24 June 1921 with Headquarters at Corning, Iowa. The compiler and editor was born in Minneapolis, October, 1892. Graduate of Coe College. Volunteered April, 1917. 350th Infantry Battalion Intelligence and Scout Officer. Active service overseas. Fair. Cover worn. Edges rubbed. Some tears and map folds. Binding shaken. Scuff inside front cover.
