Large cloth portfolio with cloth ties; design of a beetle in green on the front board. Title page with similar, b…ut larger engraving of a beetle. 30 large color lithographs (17.5 inches tall). Some light soiling to the title page and the first plate's edges. Some toning and edge wear to some of the plates. Light soiling to the boards; one cloth tie mostly of 6) missing. Wilhelm Richard Paul Flanderky (1872 - 1937) was a German painter and scientific illustrator. Other works include Sealife, and Brehm's Animal Life.
