Cloth - Hard Cover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. 234 pages. Brown cloth covers are rubbed and show light wear at spine ends. Lettering on spine remains legible, though is faded. There are a couple of spots of discoloration on top cover. Front hinge is broke, and there is a little separation between first blank page following the front free end leaf and title page, and it is assumed that the frontispiece has been removed from here. Title page is loosened. Although four other illustrations are reported to be within the contents, this copy has none. Rear hinge is cracked, though remains fairly tight.

About good (edgewear, with focal erosion of cloth with exposure of board at upper tips and upper edges; focal staining of front board and bottom edges with white paint; front and back gutters cracked, and the front is fragile; previous owner's ink-stamped name and address, Tyler, Texas, on front endpapers --- attractive antique font; mild uniform browning of pages).
