    Cloth. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. This is an ex-library book with the usual stickers, stamps and card pocket. The spine is repaired with tape, the covers are very edge worn as is the head and heel of the spine, they are rubbed and have some soiling. There is soiling to the page edges and the pages are mostly clean with scattered light soiling and page 19 has a tear that once was repaired with tape. This is a solid reading copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.

Kurt Wiese (April 22, 1887 ? May 27, 1974) was a German-born book illustrator, who wrote and illustrated 20 children's books and illustrated another 300 for other authors. He was a Caldecott and Newbery Award Winner. A scarce children's title.
