Edition and printing not known. In very good minus dark green cloth boards, gilt titles and gilt emblem to front. The covers are tight, back cover is not straight with slight warp. Covers are quite clean, with light markings from damp along front spine edge and more obviously over most of back cover. Fairly clean end papers; old sellotape marks on the paste downs; dedication on front free end paper. The rear free end paper is missing. Tanned cut edges; tail end shows warped edges. The text block is mostly made up of 132 pages of b/w plates; with 8 pages of colour plates in the text section at the beginning. The block is tightly bound and quite clean - no tanning of foxing. Pages 225 in block of b/w plates are warped on tail edge, getting more apparent towards end and the last three pages show a few marks. The quality of the plates is very good and the condition of the book overall deserves to be very good. No jacket. Heavy. As book is large and very heavy please contact us for cost of shipping.
