THERE IS A LOVELY PICTORIAL COVER TO THE FRONT BOARD, ILLUSTRATED BY STANLEY ORTON BRADSHAW, SOME OF THE INK HAS WORN AWAY BUT THE PICTURE IS STILL CLEARLY SEEN. THERE ARE SOME MARKINGS ON THE FRONT BOARD AND SCUFFING AROUND THE EDGES. THERE IS A 5CM TEAR TO THE FRONT BOTTOM CORNER, A 3CM SPLIT TO THE TAIL OF THE SPINE. THERE IS BUMPING TO THE HEAD AND TAIL OF THE SPINE RESULTING IN SOME FRAYING. THERE IS CREASING AND SOME LIGHT CRACKING TO THE SPINE. THERE IS A DARK LINE ALONG THE JOIN OF THE BACK BOARD AND THE SPINE, TOWARDS THE BOTTOM MEASURING 2.5CM. THERE ARE SOME DIRTY MARKS TO THE BACK BOARD INCLUDING A 5CM BY 1 CM STAIN, POSSIBLY LIQUID DAMAGE. AROUND THE EDGES OF THE BACK BOARD IS SCUFFED AND 1CM TEARS AT BOTH OUTSIDE EDGES AND A FURTHER 1CM TEAR TO THE EDGE OPPOSITE THE SPINE. THE BINDING IS FIRM BUT THE EDGES ARE UNFINISHED. THERE IS YELLOWING TO THE PAGES, IN PARTICUALLY TO THE EDGES OF THE PAGES. THE PAGES GENERALLY APPEAR CLEAN AND CREASE FREE. THERE ARE SOME LOVELY CLEAR BLACK INK ILLUSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT THE BOOK AND SOME BRIGHT COLOUR PLATES. THE COLOUR PLATES DO HAVE SOME MOTTLED MARKINGS TO THEM - FRONT AND BACK. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.
