Johns, George E. Rochester and William Hansboro. Published in 1938, only two years before the Battle of Britain.In the publisher's original pictorial paper boards with a red cloth spine. A frontispiece of The Gloster 'Gauntlet' fighter plane by Stanley Orton Bradshaw, as well as three other colour illustrations, four monochrome illustrations, and numerous woodcut illustrations by both Bradshaw and Leigh. Collated complete.Most famous for creating fighter hero 'Biggles', W.E. Johns has teamed up with Rochester and Hansboro to offer more daring adventures inspired by their service during the First World War.
