Catalogue of an Exhibition of American Paintings, Furniture, Silver and Other Objects of Art MDCXXV - MDCCCXXV. 160 pp. Both volumes were owned by Ernest R. Rolph (1871-1958), the well known Toronto architect of Hart House, Emmanuel College, The Royal York and many other buildings. His name is found as a black ink stamp on both volumes just below the title box. The 2 volumes were presented to the artist/sculptor Robert Norgate (1920 - 1956) on Oct. 27, 1947. Presentations to be found on the front pastedowns employing the same black ink stamp framed by calligraphic script presumably by Rolph. Both volumes carry gilt script on the black spines and blue front panels. Both volumes are scuffed with worn extremities and are lightly soiled. Both are tight and square.
