Kevin Cummins began photographing The Fall in 1977 when they were ejected from the Manchester youth club who'd booked them and performed instead at The Ranch Bar in the city centre. Over the next 40 years Cummins tried to capture images that would pin down the band, often finding himself focusing on Mark E Smith. This selection of his photographs includes shots taken of them on stage but, predominantly, shows them more relaxed circumstances. Slightly off-mint and felt-tip mark on upper or lower trimmed edge.
