FIVE VOLUMES IN ONE. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 5.5 x 8 inches. 167 + [9] + 198 + [6] + 122 + [6] + 173 + [3] + 245 pp. + [3]. Separate pagination for Tomes I - II, Tome III, First and Second Parts and Tomes IV and V combined. Text in French. Bound in original half maroon morocco, gilt over violet morocco. Patterned endpapers. Extremit…ies a little worn and some damp stains on front and rear boards. A fine clean interior. Illustrated by whole page facsimiles, coats of arms, portrait of Nostradamus and diagrams. The author, Rodolphe Foretich, links the prophecies of Michel Nostradamus (first complete edition 1558) to world events since that date, including the Great War. The last three volumes relate the predictions to the ongoing (as the author was writing) events of the Second World War. An additional chapter concerns the prophetic chronology of the Great Pyramid. This first edition includes the five original sections which appeared in 1942, 43, 44 and 46. An edition of 331 pages was published by Al-Maaref in Cairo in 1950 omitting La Tourmente from the title. A scarce title; WorldCat lists only four library holdings: Bibliothèque Nationale and Bibliothèque interuniversitaire Sainte-Geneviève, Paris, the American University in Cairo and the British Library. These appear to include the part published in 1943 and the 1950 version but not the complete five published volumes in one set as here. ESOTERIC WW2 ESOTERIC HISTORY WW1 WW2 FRENCH ESOTERIC.
