Many of the other Founding Fathers turned to Franklin for his wise advise as a mediator to resolve disputes among themselves. As a foreign diplomat he was able to gain the support of France during the course of the American Revolutionary War against the British. Although he came from humble beginnings he was a self made man and believed in the power of the mind. He was very well read and was convinced that if you applied yourself you could accomplish almost anything. Perhaps Franklin's most famous literary work was "Poor Richard's Almanac" which contained many anecdotes and wise observations and because of their common sense still live with us today. When we think of Benjamin Franklin we will always think of his call to entrepreneurs and people of ambition whom he advised when he said "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy and wise." - from the rear box.
