Historian Michael Whitfield Foster examined the family records, particularly marriage records, held by the GRO for the latter part of the 19th century, and in doing so exposes thousands of errors - or at least disparities - between the GRO records and the other publicly available information. Hard to find title.

He found a high percentage of differences between the two sets of records. Hence the books title. 177 pages.
