Horizontally oblong 24 mo, of 5 1/8 inches tall by 10 and 1/2 inches long The book is in fine condition, enclosed in a perfectly fitted cardboard box with a glued down illustration on the top. The box, in lieu of a dust jacket, is in very good condition, with one small chip to the paper cover on the side. A single sheet, folded brochure is laid in, with biographical information about the author of the original diary, Muriel Constance Foster, born in 1884 in Surrey, England. This was a personal diary, with written entries and many colored illustrations, by Muriel, who had a lifelong passion for fishing. It is published here, in 1980, for the first time by Muriel's niece, Patricia KIng, complete with the charming drawings and landscape paintings of the original diary.
