Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. The 1-Hour Teacher's Guide to ESL is the answer to one of American teachers' most pressing questions, "How can I help my ESL students learn the material I am teaching?" It helps teachers recognize their students' language deficiencies and delineates a clear plan of action for their success. Nearly 4 million ESL students across the United States and many more English-deficient members of society are at a disadvantage. Not knowing English is harming their socio-economic status and endangering our communities with increased crime, poverty, drugs, and other gang-related activities. This is because ESL teaching in schools and businesses has been largely inadequate and their overall education has suffered because of it. until now! This new guide educates teachers and business owners on the principles of ESL to more easily incorporate English curriculum into their regular classroom instruction or trainings. The guide intended to provide everyone with the English skills they need to succeed and thrive in our society. It offers easy to follow lessons plans to understand grammar and vocabulary teaching. 1-Hour Teacher's Guide to ESL also simply explains linguistic theory and second language acquisition in adults so that any teacher or trainer with no prior ESL experience can pick up the guide and teach ESL in any adult setting. ESL teachers will find this guide useful as well, as it includes new teaching approaches based around the 1-Hour English teaching series. This will become your go-to guide for teaching vocabulary and grammar in your class so that your students may start using real communicative language in the 4 skills - reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The best part is that the entire approach is centered and created upon the principles of meaning and form.
