Dos rond avec filets et titre doré. Pages de garde en papier marbré. Petits frottis aux coins et aux mors. Intérieur assez frais vu l'extrème fragilité du papier. Restauration au scotch transparent au bas des pages 249 et 250. Complet de la couverture illustrée et de deux frontispices. L'un étant un portrait de Paul Féval et l'autre un portrait de Mélingue, créateur du rôle du bossu. A noter que le portrait de l'auteur porte la mention : H.Geffroy éditeur. Textes sur deux colonnes avec magnifiques illustrations en noir par Fourquier, Trichon et Riballier. Edition originale illustrée en assez bel état général.
