No binding. Condition: Fine. Los Angeles: Columbia Pictures, 1933. Vintage original 10 3/4 x 13 1/2" (27 x 33 cm) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin photo. Blank white borders slightly trimmed, minor crease at lower left corner, tape remnant from paper blurb attachment on verso. Ink stamped "Barbara Stanwyck, Columbia Star, Please credit William A. Fraker, Hollywood, Exclusive". Fine. The Bitter Tea of General Yen was the first film to play at Manhattan's fabled Radio City Music Hall upon its opening on January 6, 1933. It was also one of the first films to deal openly with interracial sexual attraction. It was a box office failure upon its release and has since been overshadowed by Capra's later efforts. In recent years, the film has grown in critical opinion. It is one of the few films for which Capra used photographic tricks, such as filming much of it through diffusion to give it a romantic look, much as this photo represents. (Wikipedia) Exclusive image for one time use only for a newspaper or magazine.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - 'The book provides, in text form, a living dream. From its first words I was drawn . . . instantly back to early memories of family, friends, and synchronistic conversations with strangers. I was blown away by how the writing transported me back to similar memories. It didn't feel like reading, it felt like dreaming . . .The imagery of the book flows seamlessly from one memory to another with the ease and grace only a psyche dreaming can express . . . I was jolted by the ease with which the text brought to life so many memories . . . Simple, brilliant, engrossing, the book connects one, root and branch, to the essence of the phenomenon of nostalgia and the Being from whence it arrives. Nostalgia herself speaks through the pages, summoning, calling, providing a poesis of the way back home. Wonderful, simply wonderful.'
