The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the silver lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears or inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket is in good condition with creasing to the top edge of the front cover, shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine, a small tear to the top edge of the back cover and a small mark to the front cover. Will be despatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box.

Illustrated with woodcuts by Eric Gill--the wood engraving Autumn Midnight is the frontispiece, a leaf ornament on the front cover, four small decorations, and 17 decorated initials. Printed at S. Dominic's Press, Ditchling. Very good plus condition, front and back cover pages are wrinkled, slight cracking to paper spine, slight aging to lower edges of some pages, slipcase in fine condition. Overall, an attractive copy. Evan Gill number 273, like the second copy described by Gill, but SIXPENCE is spelled correctly.
