Pages and plates have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Slight cracking to hinges and gutters causing boards and binding to be loose. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining to both boards.

Occasional thumb marks to pages edges. Binding has remained firm. One plate is partly detached facing p.144, one plate torn facing p208. Boards have moderate shelf wear with bumping to corners. Spine ends are notably crushed. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Boards are notably bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Moderate water marks to boards and spine.
